          Prof. Dr. Leong Choon Heng is currently the President of the Malaysia University of Science and Technology. He holds a PhD in sociology from Harvard University and a BA in East Asian Studies from Colby College, USA. He teaches courses on economy, politics, society and public policy. In the last ten years, he has also taught and conducted research in transportation and logistics, in particular, focusing on systems analysis, environmental concerns, sustainability, road safety and strategies.

   

          Prof. Dr. Sellappan Palaniappan is currently the Acting Provost and the Dean of School of Science and Engineering at Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST). Prior to joining MUST, he was an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Malaya. He holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master in Computer Science from the University of London

   

          Niranjan Krishnan is the Senior Lecturer and Head of Transportation, Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Malaysia University of Science and Technology. His expertise is in the application of quantitative analytics and decision science to solve complex business problems. His projects include: using quantitative models to improve the efficiency of rice distribution, forecasting the supply and demand of long steel products in Malaysia and analysing supply chain innovations in Malaysia.
        He holds dual Master of Science degrees in Transportation and Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. He graduated with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT) where he was awarded the Larsen & Toubro Endowment Medal for the best academic record. He won The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) Award for his research paper entitled “Logistics Service Design”.

   

Kamal Abd Razak is a Senior Lecturer for the School of Business at Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST). He graduated from Brighton Technical College, UK after finishing his Ordinary National Diploma in Technology. He, then pursued his Bachelor in Applied Science (Hons) majoring in Mechanical Engineering at Sussex University, UK. He took his MBA in Techno-Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management at UTM on a program from Cranfield University. He is now a PhD candidate in the field of Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Management at University of Malaya

 

   

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Joseph Samy has rich experiences in the field of agriculture having served as an agronomist in the Department of Agriculture and the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI). Prior to joining MUST, he was a lecturer at Monash University, Sunway Campus, Malaysia.

Dr. Joseph earned his PhD in plant nutrition from Justus-Liebig University, Germany. Throughout his working career, his main research was on the formulation of economic fertilizer recommendations for the rice granary areas of the country. He is a recipient of the Perez-Guerrero Trust Fund Grant of the United Nations for research on organic farming.

   

Dr. Tang Fui Ching is the Senior Lecturer and Head of Biosciences Research at Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST). She was a Master and PhD graduate from University of Cambridge. When she was an undergraduate at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), she won the ICI Agrochemicals Academic Prize from ICI Agrochemicals Sdn Bhd, CCM Bioscience Academic Prize from CCM Bioscience Sdn Bhd, and Faculty Prize from Faculty of Agriculture, UPM.

   

Dr. Seng Hoi Ling is a Biotechnology lecturer at Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST). She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman and a PhD from the same university.

   

Dr. Tang Sui Yan is a Biotechnology lecturer at Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST). She obtained her PhD in Applied Bioscience from The Graduate School of Agriculture, Hokkaido University.

Prior to her experience in MUST, she was a Research Assistant at Microbiology Laboratory, Strategic, Environment and Natural Resources, Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI). She served as a Research Associate for Advanced Agriecological Research (AAR) Sdn Bhd.

   

Koay Hun Lee is a Chemistry lecturer at Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST). He graduated from University of Malaya with Bachelor (Hons) in Chemistry. Two years later, he obtained his Master of Science from the same university. In 2009, he was awarded with Toray Research Grant Award for his excellence in research.

Before joining MUST, Hun Lee was a part-time lecturer at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. He was a Development Chemist at Nylex (M) Bhd before serving as a Research Assistant at University of Malaya. He is a registered chemist and is an associate member of the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry (AMIC)

   

Dr. Chuah Keng Hoo is a Senior Lecturer and the Head of System Engineering Programme and APM Centre for Computer Aided Engineering & Design at Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST). He obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky, USA. Prior to his experience at MUST, he was a Research Assistant Professor at the Institute of Research for Technology Development (IR4TD), College of Engineering, University of Kentucky. 

His research interest includes algorithms, numerical simulations, computational methods, and system engineering in areas such as heat transfer, combustion, energy, manufacturing, transport logistics, and mobile networks. He is also a Huawei Certification System Instructor.

   

K’ng, Kok-Eng is a Senior Lecturer at MUST School of Business. Prior to joining MUST faculty, K’ng worked as a management consultant specializing in helping SMEs who are suppliers to MNCs or aspire to become MNCs achieve world class manufacturing status through quality, cost and delivery improvement. He has more than 20 years of work experience in manufacturing with American and Japanese MNCs. He was a Director at Dell Asia Pacific, Deputy General Manager at Sony Malaysia and Manager at Hewlett-Packard Malaysia. During that time, K’ng had the opportunity to visit and work with his Japanese colleagues based in Hitachi and Sony Japan as well as his American peers in Hewlett-Packard California and Dell Texas, USA. 

K’ng holds a BS degree in Operations Research & Industrial Engineering from Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, USA and an MBA from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang. He is a certified Kepner-Tregoe PSDM program instructor, a Competent Toastmaster (CTM) and Lean Six Sigma TOC practitioner. He is planning to pursue his PhD in Business Administration.
